Smash Box Layouts

With the release of the Smash Box Experience and Designer Software 4.04, we have updated and created profiles and layouts to help players get the most out of the Smash Box, as well as provide ideas for their own customization.

This is an overview of the main layouts included with the new Designer. For information on our profiles, check out our profile hub: Smash Box Profiles.

GameCube Layouts

Default

This is our main layout, designed to afford the best learning platform fighting games - such as Melee, Smash Ultimate, and Rivals of Aether - on the Smash Box.

Homerow - Recovery

The focus of this layout is to provide more use out of the C-pad while limiting hand movement with the face buttons. This version keeps recovery angles easy.

Homerow - Tilts

This version ignores recovery angles, and puts focus on the multi-tilts for the left thumb.

Generic

A basic layout to get you started in games other than platform fighting games.

N64 Layouts

Default

Due to the Smash 64 requiring different inputs for its actions, we had to adjust the layout around a little bit.

And remember, you can always change your button mapping with the Smash Box Designer Software, download at the top.
