Half-Circles are nothing to be scared of on Hit Box. As long as you put some practice into them, you will have them output consistently. Here we will go over some different methods to get half-circles in UNI 2.
Standard Motion
Player 1 Side
The standard motion.
Try to think of it as "rolling" your fingers across the buttons. It also helps to try this motion slowly at first, being intention in pressing every button fully on its own. Then speed up the motion when you are comfortable with the feel.

If it helps, you can try rotating your wrist a little bit as well to help with the "rolling" of the fingers. That can help with ensure every button press is of equal speed and you are not rushing through the Down input.

SOCD Method
Player 1 Side
SOCD allows you to guarantee the Down input and ensure your half-circle is output. By pressing Left + Down + Right at the same time, the Hit Box outputs Down. This may be especially important for players who are a little too quick with their half-circle inputs and skip a lot of directions.

Practice this method slowly at first. Be very intentional with the SOCD Down input. Once you have this method practiced, it will improve your half-circles in every game you play.

Sliding Method
Player 1 Side
Using two fingers to slide across the buttons, you can guarantee every direction is input and ensure a half-circle.
Here we showcase the slide with the Right and Middle fingers.
And depending on your button mapping, with Player 1 slide you do not even need your right hand!
Player 2 Side

You can be very quick with this method as well!
Try to focus on pressing Attack right as you get to the last button during your slide.
